CLEM7 Project Complete

Brisbane’s largest infrastructure project, the CLEM7, is now complete and open to the public.  Contributing toward the success of the project, Clearmake designed and installed a 36,000 l per hour ground water treatment system to remove heavy metals and other contaminants from ground water extracted from the tunnel.  The water is then safe to discharge directly into the local storm water system.

The project is now fully operational for our client Rivercity Motorway and the people of Brisbane.  The 6.8 kilometre CLEM7 will connect Woolloongabba in the south to Bowen Hills in the north, and will be the first section of the new M7 motorway. The CLEM7 will bypass up to 23 sets of traffic lights, reduce travel time by up to 30%, cut fuel costs, lower stress and improve safety.
